Klein: Clinton will run for president even if she’s indicted

Former Newsweek foreign editor Edward Klein says his sources told him intelligence agencies in Washington are obstructing the FBI from conducting its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

During an appearance on Steve Malzberg’s Newsmax TV show, Klein revealed how FBI Director James Comey was being impeded by powerful interests in DC.

“He’s been doing a criminal investigation of Hillary from the get-go and they are not finished but I’m told that he’s running into a lot of obstruction around Washington in the various intelligence agencies,” said Klein.

The New York Times bestselling author added that the obstruction would not appear in Comey’s final report but that “in his final report he’s going to find her guilty of several indictable offenses.”

The narrative that Clinton is not responsible for any wrongdoing is the work of Hillary’s spin machine, according to Klein, who asserts that she will also be found guilty of lying to the FBI.

FBI Director Comey dismissed Hillary’s insistence that the investigation was just a “security inquiry” yesterday, saying that he didn’t know what a “security inquiry” was.

“We’re conducting an investigation. … That’s what we do,” said Comey.

Klein also revealed that Clinton is telling her aides that she will run for president even if she is indicted over the email scandal.

“We don’t know. Nobody knows. Here’s the one thing I do know based on my reporting. She has told her aides and her friends even if she’s indicted, she intends to run anyway because she will say, ‘Hey, I got 13 million votes in the primaries… Democracy’s at work,’ and all of that stuff. She intends to run,” said Klein.

  1. Give me a freaking break. Ed Klein is considered by the print industry to be no better than a gossip monger. All the assertions in his books are anonymously sourced! There are probably skeletons in HRC’s closet to find, but this rumor peddler won’t be the one to find them.

    • Oh look who it is ! It’s the Scarlet Pimpernel back for more. You simply couldn’t keep away. So you’re saying he’s probably right but you’re not going to listen to him because he’s wrong … It’s your glorious absurdity that is its true genius ! Bravo !!

      • I don’t believe he’s right at all, ever.

Klein has been criticized already for his previous biography of Hillary Clinton, “The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She’ll Go to Become President” from 2005.

Politico criticized the book for “serious factual errors, truncated and distorted quotes and overall themes don’t gibe with any other serious accounts of Clinton’s life.” The book was attacked not only by liberals, but by a neoconservative as well. John Podhoretz wrote in the New York Post, “Thirty pages into it, I wanted to take a shower. Sixty pages into it, I wanted to be decontaminated. And 200 pages into it, I wanted someone to drive stakes through my eyes so I wouldn’t have to suffer through another word.”

In National Review James Geraghty wrote, “Folks, there are plenty of arguments against Hillary Clinton, her policies, her views, her proposals, and her philosophies. This stuff ain’t it. Nobody on the right, left, or center ought to stoop to this level.”

Kathryn Jean Lopez of National Review asked Klein in a June 20, 2005 interview, “Why on earth would you put such a terrible story in your book…that looks to be flimsily sourced at that?,” regarding his suggestion that Chelsea Clinton was conceived in an act of marital rape.Facing criticism from both the left and right for making the claim, Klein eventually backed away from the insinuation in an interview with radio host Jim Bohannon on June 23, 2005.

The British newspaper The Guardian pointed out a number of verifiable factual errors in Klein’s 2014 book Blood Feud.

Klein is under constant fire for his use of anonymous quotes, purported to be from the subjects of his books, which he claims he received from anonymous insiders. The credibility of such quotes has been questioned by writers such as Joe Conason, Salon’s Simon Malloy and conservative commentators Rush Limbaugh and Peggy Noonan.

The man is a muckraker, pure and simple.

      • Doesn’t make it untrue, and I’m not gonna waste any real effort to counter stuff of this low caliber, for free. Your post was a recopy of material from Newsmax, so pot…meet kettle.

      • Well spotted genius … My site follows the news aggregation model … have you ever read any of klein’s books? i suspect not … which means your view is heresay … which means it’s not even your view – but you’re prepared to present it as so … this is truly wonderful stuff .. please don’t stop …

      • “News aggregation”. Amusing term for copies of copies of copies. I read about 20 pages of the previously mentioned Hillary hit piece during the 2008 campaign. Then I read some reviews. Won’t get fooled again…

      • well at least you admit that you don’t know what you’re talking about … good form … and btw Lol lol lol ! “News aggregation” is the industry standard term of a well established model .. Lol again …

      • I disagreed that Ed Klein (gossip columnist) was worth much attention from readers, but I have no interest in trying to insult you personally. If it gratifies you though, go ahead. It clarifies your level of maturity for those reading. Some can disagree over the value of a work. Some feel threatened and must lash out at the responder, if they can’t answer the objection itself.

      • When you’ve read (i bet you didn’t at all) more than 20 pages of any of klein’s books (or any books for that matter) we can have a debate … until then i will treat you in accordance with the international standard for dealing with trolls; like one might any termite or roach …

  2. It’s perfect time to make some plans for the long run and
it is time to be happy. I’ve learn this put up and if I could I want to recommend you some interesting
issues or suggestions. Maybe you can write
next articles referring to this article. I wish to read more things approximately it!
